This baseball hitting device works by moderately restraining your stride with your front foot through the use of a stride regulator attached to the foot harness.
 
Because the stride regulator is designed to unsnap under a certain amount of pull, it helps you control your stride rather than actually preventing your foot from moving forward.  This minimizes the forward motion without immobilizing your foot, helping you experience and learn the sensation of optimal weight transfer through your swing and stride motion.
